Veronica and Noah
Meet Veronica and Noah
Veronica and Noah both grew up in the Kansas City area – she on the Missouri side, he in Kansas. They first met in October of 2022 when Noah went to a party, and Veronica, at the invitation of a childhood friend, attended too. When the two started chatting around the firepit, sparks flew!
Their bond began during that first conversation when they learned that both were highly creative. Noah is an expert woodworker who loves to incorporate nature into his pieces, and Veronica is a printmaker inspired by the Art Deco aesthetic of the 1920s and 30s. They also shared a love of art history, and when the evening was over, they found each other on Instagram and continued the conversation there.

A week later, Noah was invited to an 80s-themed Halloween party by a friend who had bought a table at the event, and he had an extra ticket. He suggested that Noah invite Veronica. He took the leap, and so did she. Noah asked, and Veronica accepted!

From then on, they were officially dating. A favorite outing was Worlds of Fun, where Noah convinced Veronica to ride a roller coaster for the first time. She found the experience and the sensations absolutely terrifying, and wildly fun. They also continued to share their love of art and learn more about what inspired each other’s work.
In April, Veronica began to suspect that Noah might be planning something big as their six-month anniversary approached in May. A few weeks later, he surprised her with a special date at a restaurant in the River Market. They had talked about visiting a spot, when the weather improved, well-known for its sweeping vista of the Missouri River, and this, being May and springtime in Missouri, was just the right time.
Noah suggested they take in the view after dinner. As they stood on the spot, Noah’s phone played a song at precisely the same time that they had met six months earlier. Again, Noah asked, and Veronica accepted, only this time it was for a date…to get married!
Designing the Perfect Ring

Veronica’s engagement ring designed by Noah.
Noah designed Veronica’s beautiful engagement ring himself, with help from the craftsmen at Joslin’s. Noah’s family are long-time customers, visiting the store regularly over the years to find the perfect pieces for their special occasions. Noah continued that tradition, knowing that the staff at Joslin’s would be able to bring his vision for Veronica’s ring to sparkling life.
Both Veronica and Noah are deeply creative artisans who draw from different influences – he from nature and her from the Art Deco movement. Noah wanted to combine the two to create a ring that represented them both as a couple. Noah collaborated with Elicia, the daughter of founder Gary Joslin and an expert at creating custom pieces, to design Veronica’s ring.
After explaining his inspiration for the design, he and Elicia decided to rework a Mother’s ring – a design sometimes called a Family ring, which usually includes gems representing family members – into a highly customized engagement ring. Together they created a ring with a dazzling circle diamond in the center with bands twined around it like vines. They “sprout” pear-cut peridots and pink tourmalines, Noah’s (August) and Veronica’s (October) birthstones. Taken altogether, the ring artfully combines their separate artistic influences for a profound and meaningful touch. Needless to say, Veronica was blown away by the beauty of the ring and its deeply personal nature, and immediately fell in love with it.
Later, when they returned to Joslin’s to pick out Noah’s wedding band, Veronica met Elicia who, Veronica says, looked her straight in the eyes, smiled, and said, “You’d better not get a boring gold band after everything that went into the engagement ring.”
And with Elicia’s help, they found the perfect ring to compliment Veronica’s, a band featuring an intricate, subtle nature motif.
“I cannot recommend Joslin’s enough for anyone who is looking to find a piece of jewelry that is truly very special and memorable,” Veronica says. “Joslin’s was able to create this ring with so much meaning behind it that is so unique to us as a couple.”
Congratulations Veronica and Noah and thank you for sharing your love story with Joslin’s. Our staff is always ready to help connect people with the perfect piece to commemorate life’s most special moments, so visit Joslin’s today.
